I will go
Meeting Reflections - June 13 2010
There is a beautiful illustration of a young woman being ready to follow the Lord's plan in Genesis 24. The story begins with Abraham sending his chief servant, Eliezer, to find a bride for his son Isaac from Abraham’s country. Last Sunday we heard how Abraham represents the Father in heaven, Isaac – his son Jesus Christ and Eliezer – the holy spirit being sent to the Church. Are we like Rebekah? When the holy spirit comes are we willing to go? Rebekah is asked to make a decision as to whether she will stay in her father’s house for ten more days or leave immediately. And her response is ‘ I will go’ (Gen 24:57). Similarly our Father in heaven expects us to be ready like a bride for her bridegroom willing to go when the holy spirit calls us. The story ends beautifully: "Isaac brought her into the tent of his mother Sarah, and he married Rebekah. So she became his wife, and he loved her". Ephesians 5:27 - "and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless".
Welcome
We hope the above message has blessed you. If you would like to know more about us, please read on....
International Christian Fellowship (ICF) is a non-denominational church located in the College Park, MD area.
We are family oriented, reaching out to all people to provide support, physically, emotionally
and spiritually through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Whatever your struggles, whatever your difficulties, whatever
your questions, we at ICF have faced the same issues, but have learned to look to Jesus Christ and His teachings and
have found answers and comfort. We welcome people of all races and backgrounds, and are blessed to
fellowship with people from a variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds, just as it will be in heaven. God has called each
of us to join in one accord and worship, the Lord of all nations, Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and
the Life.
Our mission is two-fold:
1. To introduce Jesus Christ to those who do not know Him. Jesus
boldly proclaimed "I am the way, the truth and the life; no man comes
to the Father (God) except by me."
2. To support each other as brothers and sisters so that we can grow in
the knowledge of Jesus Christ to transform our lives to His character.
It is our pleasure to extend you a very warm and friendly welcome. Come
worship with us and allow us to reach out to you with the love of Christ. Come and join us in the true fellowship of Jesus
Christ. For more details about ICF, go to the About page. For
