Building His temple
Meeting Reflections - Dec 12 2010
About two weeks ago ICF went through some significant expansion and renovation. Walls were broken down to make more room for old and young. As the walls were broken many church members came in to help with odd jobs like painting, touch up and clean up. Some spent a few hours – others spent days preparing the fellowship hall so that we could come together to worship and glorify God in a beautiful and comfortable place. Last week Greg Smith spoke about preparing our hearts. We are the temple of the living God; He does not live in a building. The fellowship hall is a place that God has given us to fellowship. Would we prepare our hearts like we did this building for God. Gods holiness has not changed from the old to the new testament, yet in the old testament the people spent a lot of time preparing before coming into the presence of the living God. I will not enter my house or go to my bed, I will allow no sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, till I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.” - Psalm 132 3-5 This should be our prayer that we shall not slumber until we find a dwelling place for the most high - in our hearts.
Welcome
We hope the above message has blessed you. If you would like to know more about us, please read on....
International Christian Fellowship (ICF) is a non-denominational church located in the College Park, MD area.
We are family oriented, reaching out to all people to provide support, physically, emotionally
and spiritually through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Whatever your struggles, whatever your difficulties, whatever
your questions, we at ICF have faced the same issues, but have learned to look to Jesus Christ and His teachings and
have found answers and comfort. We welcome people of all races and backgrounds, and are blessed to
fellowship with people from a variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds, just as it will be in heaven. God has called each
of us to join in one accord and worship, the Lord of all nations, Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and
the Life.
Our mission is two-fold:
1. To introduce Jesus Christ to those who do not know Him. Jesus
boldly proclaimed "I am the way, the truth and the life; no man comes
to the Father (God) except by me."
2. To support each other as brothers and sisters so that we can grow in
the knowledge of Jesus Christ to transform our lives to His character.
It is our pleasure to extend you a very warm and friendly welcome. Come
worship with us and allow us to reach out to you with the love of Christ. Come and join us in the true fellowship of Jesus
Christ. For more details about ICF, go to the About page. For
